MedFac Learning Centre

  1. If you already have an account with MedFac Learning Centre you can log in from the login page at https://medfaclearningcentre.com/user-account/.
  2. Enter the email address that’s registered to your MedFac Learning Centre account and your password.
  3. Click Sign In.
You can reset your password on the Sign in page.

MedFac spans many offices worldwide. Our offices are in the UK, France and the USA with our head office based in the South of England. Our Halo Medical Orthotists, who mainly work in hospitals as part of a multi-disciplinary team, include Consultants, Physiotherapists and Podiatrists. Team members refer patients to the orthotist for assessment and treatment.

Bespoke insoles and footwear are mainly made at the Wellingborough and Aldershot sites.

To view our free lessons you must create a MedFac learning centre profile (here). Once you have created a profile and logged in, you can access our lessons.

To get a 100% completion on our lessons you must click on the complete button on the bottom right of the course.

If you did not meet the passing percentage (75%) you can re-visit the quiz and submit it again. We do suggest if you need to do this, to go through the lesson in full so you don’t miss any of the key points.

Certificates are automatically generated when you complete a course successfully. When you have completed all lessons of your course, and in some cases passed the test, you can find your certificate at the end of the course or in your profile tab. You can download it as PDF.

With a MedFac Learning Centre account, you are allowed full access to all Free courses you see in the catalogue. You can take as many as you want, as often as you want. However, some of our courses will be for members with a MedFac learning centre subscription. Only members with a subscription can access these courses.

Kinetec®

Kinetec® have been supplying continuous passive motion devices and orthopaedic traction frames to the rehabilitation market worldwide since the 1970s. Kinetec® is world renowned for quality, innovation and service.

A continuous passive motion (CPM) machine is a motorised device that passively moves a joint through a pre-set range of motion.

Experimental investigations in the 1970s provided the scientific basis for CPM treatment using motor-driven exercise equipment. Positive clinical experience, with this exciting therapeutic modality being well received by surgeons, therapists and patients, accelerated its widespread acceptance.

Fifty years later, advances in technology and the extension of this form of post-surgical rehabilitation therapy to new indications and protocols demonstrate that CPM still plays an integral and significant role in orthopaedic recovery. For the patient, it is a valuable and well-tolerated method of rapidly restoring lost joint function, mobility and confidence.

Simply put, traction is the practice of pulling on a broken bone or dislocated body part in a slow, steady manner to realign it into proper position and keep it stable. This is typically done with ropes, weights, and pulleys.  Traction can also be used to prevent or control muscle spasms.

Dr.Aktive®

Dr. Aktive is a brand that belongs under the MedFac umbrella. It primarily focuses on providing customers with the best physio and rehabilitation-based technology.

Cryotherapy, sometimes known as cold therapy, is the local or general use of low temperatures in medical therapy. Cryotherapy may be used to treat a variety of tissue lesions, reduce inflammation, increase metabolism & improve immune response. 

We offer the ability to rent our Cryo Pro machines for certain periods with the ability to purchase them after the rental period is finished. You can rent them: here.

Biofeedback is a type of mind-body technique you use to control some of your body’s functions, such as your heart rate, breathing patterns and muscle responses. You can receive biofeedback training in physical therapy clinics, medical centres and hospitals. 

Manosplint®

A hand therapist is a registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist who specialises in the rehabilitation of patients with conditions affecting the hands and upper limbs.

Thermoplastic splinting maintains a range of movement by holding the joint in a position of stretch for a prolonged period. As a result of wearing the thermoplastic splint for several hours, the properties of the muscle change and adapt to their new position.

Halo Medical

Halo Medical is an organisation of orthotists that work within NHS Hospitals and in private settings. With state-of-the-art scanning technology, Halo Medical can provide a combination of made-to-measure and off-the-shelf devices to ensure optimum treatment and comfort. Digital scanning and computer-aided manufacture of our insoles and braces ensures that our orthoses are manufactured with a high degree of accuracy.

X-Lite®

X-Lite is the only splinting and casting material made from a cotton base impregnated with a non-toxic polymer. It is entirely biodegradable and can be composted once all attachments have been removed.

X-Lite® is the only casting material made from a cotton base impregnated with a non-toxic, safe polymer. The polymer is Polycaprolactone and it belongs to a group of polyester PCLs, which are a well-known implantable biomaterial.

Florence Paediatrics

Florence Paediatrics is a UK-based orthotics provider that specialises in creating custom-made braces, insoles, helmets, and footwear for children. Part of the MedFac Group and based in Lewes, it combines clinical expertise with in-house manufacturing and 3D scanning to produce tailored, comfortable orthotic solutions. Working with both NHS and private patients, Florence Paediatrics focuses on supporting children’s mobility, growth, and overall comfort through high-quality, bespoke devices.
